The Twinkle by Wenlan collection was true to the program description- “frolics into the woods for a Fall 2010 Collection that is playfully gothic…in understated femininity.“ Designer Wenlan Chia showed a whopping 47 looks- each one different, but obviously belonging to a natural elements type theme in a gorgeous palette of golds, mossy greens, mustard yellows, eggplant, neutrals and cinnamon.
From silk and chiffon pieces to lace and sheer overlays, the collection looked luxurious and fall appropriate. The collection was a mix of chunky knit dresses, delicate blouses, mini skirts, sweaters and skinny pants. Shoulder and neck details prevailed- whether it was a one shouldered gown, an oversized collar, or a necklace (“Bulldog Leash,” “Broken Thorn” and “Firecracker” necklaces, to name a few).
