Fashion Week Friday

On Friday morning, I attended the Project Runway season finale taping. However, you may be surprised to hear that I don’t know who the final 3 designers are! After walking to the end of the runway alongside Nina Garcia, Michael Kors and guest host Faith Hill for a brief photo frenzy (watch my video of this Paparazzi-crazed moment here) -Heidi took the mic and kindly explained to the audience that we would be seeing collections from all ten of the designers who remain on the show- so they did not ruin the surprise!

The show was pretty typical despite the show being filmed (and the fact that there were 10 collections). Each designer came out and introduced themselves and shared their inspiration for their designs before sending the models down the runway. There were many great looks to choose from- but after seeing all 10 collections, I have selected my favorite look from each designer.

TOP 4
While may not know who the top 3 finalists are, but I know who they should be based on the collections. Emilio, Anthony, Jonathan and Jay all had collections that stuck to a theme, used a great color palette, and mixed textures, styles and patterns beautifully:

Here are what I thought were some of the best looks from the rest of the designers:

Friday was a Project Runway themed day- as I was also able to attend the Christian Siriano runway show in the afternoon. Christian is an extremely talented young designer- which was further evidenced by the hip celebrity crowd in the front row.

Christian has perfected mixing edgy and glam- and continued to do so with his Fall 2010 collection. Also very exciting, is the fact that all of the shoes from his collection will be on sale at Payless (yes, you read that correctly)!

Here are my favorite looks from his collection:
